Preparations
Well yesterday we finally got our web cam, and it is up and running. Megan and I went to dinner with a friend of mine from Costa Rica, and SNU. It has been fun learning how to be married. Megan is figuring out that sudoku and coffee really is the best way to begin the day, even if the beginning happens at 10 am. Neither of us are working before we leave for Korea, but we have plenty of stuff to do before we leave. Saturday we are going on a 3 day backpacking trip to Mt Jefferson with Cassie Jacob and Blake. Then next Friday we fly out for South Korea. I have been in the process of growing a beard since from what we understand South Koreans rank people based on a hierarchical system where age is the most important factor in determining the respect you receive from the people. Megan is trying but her beard grows alot more slowly than mine.

Congrats on being married and moving to S.K. Let me know if you would like me to teach you some Korean words before you leave. Also, enjoy the kimchee, which you'll eat with every meal.
HOW EXCITING! I envy you guys!
oh... and mega actually looks pretty good with a beard! Wow!

looking forward to staying in touch as i lurk in your life.
We assume you have a Korean for tourists language primer to read on the airplane. It'll definitely help to know a few words of the language when you get on the ground.
Hope you enjoyed Jefferson Park. We are headed up tomorrow in the 100 degree weather. We plan to take waldo. We'll have to send you some pictures. Have a safe trip to Korea!

Megan, Uncle Mike says "good start on the beard" - you're following in his footsteps with some great growth at such and early age! haha!
